Almost two weeks after the death of the legendary former English player Sir Bobby Charlton was announced, investigations have revealed that the reason for this unfortunate event was an accidental fall that occurred in the place where he lived.
According to the information left by the aforementioned investigation, Charlton, Manchester United icon, suffered an accidental fall in the place where he lived, a care center for people with dementia in Knutsford, five days before his death.
This Wednesday a hearing was held at Cheshire Court in which it was determined that the world champion with the English team in 1966 lost his balance when getting up from a chair and hit a piece of furniture or “possibly a radiator.”
Shortly after the aforementioned fall occurred, the workers at the care center evaluated Charlton and ruled out that he had suffered any type of injury since his mobility was not affected, however, shortly after they realized that he had swelling in his his back and they called the paramedics.
The former soccer player was transferred to a hospital where he underwent a new evaluation with a scanner, which showed that he had suffered a fracture in his ribs, something that could cause pneumonia, so the doctors agreed to give him palliative care until he died five days later. .
