The resident of the city of Washingtonville, New York, Patricia Hastings, has collected a grand prize of $1 million dollars for having matched the first five numbers of the Powerball drawing held on October 26, 2022.

However, Hasting did not take the full million, but rather a much smaller amount.

The winning numbers in the Powerball drawing were 19, 36, 37, 46, 56 and the Powerball ball was 24.

When he went to collect his money at the state lottery headquarters, Hastings received a one-time payment of $651,000, after taxes were deducted.

And they ended up charging him $349 thousand dollars.

The winning ticket was purchased at a store called Cumberland Farms, located at 38 Brookside Rd. in Chester.

The New York Powerball game achieved earnings of $516,866,283 in total sales from 2022 to 2023.

School districts in Orange County received just over $125 million of that money in Lottery education aid.
