The technical director of the Águilas del Club América, André Jardine, surprised his followers recently by ensuring that despite being close to breaking some records with the team within the Liga MX and remaining the leaders of the Apertura 2023 tournament, he does not feel completely happy with the performance that his team has been recording this campaign.
During an interview offered for Línea 4 of TUDN, the Brazilian coach of the azulcrema team explained that despite having secured their classification to the Liguilla, this campaign has been a great challenge; This is because each of the players that make up the club have sufficient qualities to be starters in another team in the Liga MX and must study this series of changes so as not to affect any of them.
“America played very well, they had to provide continuity, well, and as time went on we gained confidence by placing variations, training the defensive system, we are improving, but am I 100 percent satisfied with the team? No,” said the coach of the Coapa team.
“There are many things to improve, but it’s good that you can correct mistakes by winning, we are counting the time to be as ready in the league, happy with the performance but having to be more with a very tough tournament,” he added in his statements. .
Finally, André Jardine stated that he wants to stay in Mexican football for a long time and hopes to be able to achieve the best possible result with Club América in order to maintain the trust of the board and thus continue leading the team for the next campaign.
“America is a great challenge in this matter, it does not have 11 good players, it has 20 good players who could be starters on any team in the league. Every day I try to adapt, reward those who train well, have been playing well, sometimes give others a chance because up front we need more than 11 players. Whenever the alienation changes, it means changing the tactics and way of attacking because at the beginning it was the great challenge for the players to know how my head works, they are even adapted and happy because they feel valued every time they play,” he concluded.
