An Iowa teacher, Cassidy Kraus, is at the center of a scandal after facing criminal charges for allegedly engaging in multiple sexually oriented acts with at least three male students, the youngest of whom is 13 years old, according to police. local.

Kraus, 24, was recently married on July 1, but her marriage was not rocky as her husband filed for divorce on August 28, according to court records cited in a Fox News Digital report.

Kraus’ situation began to unravel when she resigned rather than be fired from her job at IKM-Manning schools, after the school received reports from a parent about her inappropriate behavior and distribution of illicit materials.

The school board announced the news, noting that the teacher had been on leave while an investigation was underway, the outlet reported.

Last week, Cassidy Kraus was arrested and faces serious charges including two counts of lewd acts with a child, three counts of disseminating obscene material to minors and third-degree sexual abuse, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office. Carroll County.

Inappropriate touching

A criminal complaint released by the media details that Kraus allegedly performed sexual acts with a 14-year-old boy and disseminated obscene material through Snapchat to three victims, two of whom, according to the complaint, suffered inappropriate touching.

Kraus allegedly “stroked or touched the pubes or genitals” of the boys, according to the Carroll County Court complaint.

The woman was released on $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. So far, she has not entered a plea, and her attorney, Kevin Hobbs, has declined to comment on the case.

If convicted on all charges, Kraus could face up to 33 years in prison, according to Iowa sentencing guidelines.

IKM-Manning schools have not commented on the case so far.
