Jennifer Minton, a woman from the state of Virginia, hit the jackpot in the lottery not once, but twice. And the woman won a grand prize of $50,000 dollars first and, a week later, she took home $912,936 dollars.
Minton went to collect his last big prize at the state lottery headquarters.
There he told officials that he was using his phone to play the online lottery game called Safari Quest.
At one point, he noticed that the jackpot had reset. This meant that someone had already earned it.
The woman remembers that at that moment she thought: “Someone just won. “They are very lucky.”
However, moments later, the woman realized that she was the lucky winner of the grand prize totaling $912,936, almost $1 million.
“I am in shock. “I’m incredulous!” said the winner when she received her prize.
As if winning almost $1 million wasn’t surprising enough, the woman also said that just a week before, she had taken home $50,000.
The woman earned that money by participating in the same game.
