Rayados de Monterrey has faced a complicated Apertura 2023 Liga MX tournament due to the constant injuries they have faced since the start of the championship; Despite this fact, the institution is located in third position in the classification table with a total of 26 points to be below the Águilas del Club América and the Tigres de la UANL respectively.
Despite the injuries, midfielder Alfonso González affirmed that the team has all the qualities to be able to win the title of champion of the Apertura 2023 tournament of the MX League due to all the complications they have been overcoming along the way and this demonstrates the high level of game they have.
“I fully believe in the team, in the work we have done. Although it has not been an easy path, despite the adversity and the issues that we have experienced, both injuries and absences and so on, the team has done things well, the young people who have come to add have also done quite well, I think “That work is what is giving results today and we hope to continue like this,” he expressed.
“Now there is a very important match coming up this weekend to achieve the first objective, but I believe in the team and I am sure that this team is up for great things,” González added in his statements offered to the press prior to the match that they will play this Saturday against the Pachuca Club.
González explained that the objective of the team led by Fernando Ortiz is currently to be able to secure classification to the Liguilla of the Apertura 2023 tournament to be able to compete in the next phase of the championship with the intention of seeking the championship.
“We are aware that by winning the end we will tie up the Liguilla, we are prepared for that, we are looking to achieve our first objective this weekend and close in the best way and be able to climb as far as we can, the team is very eager, very motivated and We hope to play a great game to tie up Liguilla, those who come also to close in the best way,” concluded the midfielder.
