Russian boxer Dimitry Bivol recently stated that he completely refuses to face a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter even if they paid him the impressive sum of $50 million dollars because he is fully focused on sporting achievements and not on promoting a activity that will not represent any important event in your career.

These statements were made by the renowned Russian boxer after attending as a guest the fight between Tyson Fury and the former mixed martial arts champion, Francis Ngannou, in Saudi Arabia; During these days a reporter asked him if he would accept the sum of $50 million dollars to face an MMA fighter.

Bivol quickly became decisive with his words when he responded that he has never thought about this type of activities that are becoming more and more frequent among boxers to generate comfortable income and achieve an easy victory for his record.

“We could think about ‘what would happen if I gave you this’ and ‘what would happen if I gave you that’. I have my feet firmly on the ground. I’m here, and I only think about sporting achievements. Economic achievements will come with sporting achievements. Now, I am focused on my career,” he expressed in an interview with Boxing King Media.

Despite having this vision quite focused on his career and the zero possibility of facing any MMA fighter, Bivol welcomed the fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou.

“It’s good, as long as we have real boxing fights. If we see fights like Crawford and Spence, like Lomachenko and Haney, if we see a lot of good fights, and we see Fury against Ngannou, that’s fine. But if we only see fights between YouTubers it is not good for the sport, but this fight is good,” concluded the Russian fighter.
