James Harden is already a Los Angeles Clipper player and closed a period of just a year and a half with the Philadelphia 76ers. Team where in recent months he had many differences and had to give an ultimatum to leave the franchise.

Recently, “Barba” spoke at a press conference with his new team about the bad time he had in Philadelphia. Stating that he felt very limited when it came to playing. “The 76ers had me on a leash,” the veteran NBA point guard launched as a metaphor for being on the court.

However, he stated that in his new team he has confidence in the coach so the same thing as in Philadelphia will not happen. “I like to decide what to play, I am a game creator. And ask the coach, someone who trusts me and understands me. I’m not a systems player. I am the system. Someone who can talk to me and make changes and adjustments mid-game,” analyzed the NBA star.

But Harden’s problem with the 76ers was not only on the court, as the former Houston Rockets also had serious problems with the board. To the point of calling Daryl Morey, president of franchise operations, a liar.

“I just want to win at the highest level. I left Brooklyn and thought I would retire as a Sixer. But the leaders had other plans. They didn’t want me and it’s that simple. “I’m happy to be here,” Harden closed in the press conference already in the Clippers uniform.

When will Harden debut with the Clippers?

Harden has not yet made his debut with the Los Angeles team, although it is expected that he will be able to do so next Monday at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks. Coach Ty Lue stated that he wants to take advantage of the five days of rest that the team has to fine-tune details with Harden and ensure that he integrates even more into the Clippers’ offensive system.

Veteran Paul Geroge also took the opportunity to analyze Harden’s arrival to the Californian quintet. “That’s the reason he’s here. We wanted it here. We all said we think we can make it work, we’ll figure it out. But obviously we had to train. We have to play so that we are really on the same line and understand how to play on the court with each other,” George commented.
