Fluminense made history last Saturday by winning its first Copa Libertadores, after beating Boca Juniors in an electrifying final at the Maracaná, with goals from Germán Cano, and the most important goal of his life, from the admitted John Kennedy, just 21 years old. Fernando Diniz’s team won the top Conmebol competition.
After said consecration, many Brazilian fans began to fulfill one of the many promises they will have mentioned if they win the Copa Libertadores.
In a video from Maraca TV, you can see how one of the fans knelt down to roam around the Maracaná.
After winning the Libertadores Diniz focuses on Brazil
Brazilian coach Fernando Diniz included 17-year-old teenager Endrick for the first time for the next two matches of the World Cup qualifiers in November: first away against Colombia and then against Argentina at the Maracaná Stadium.
Endrick has been key for Palmeiras to be fighting for the title in Brazil this year. Casemiro and Neymar, two usual starters, are out due to injury.
Brazil will face Colombia on November 16 in Barranquilla and will host the current World Cup champion five days later. Lionel Messi’s Argentina led the South American tie with 12 points in four games.
Brazil is third with seven points and could not win the two October round-robin matches after drawing 1-1 with Venezuela and losing 2-0 with Uruguay to put more pressure on Diniz, who will continue in the position until June of next year when they wait for Carlo Ancelotti to take his place.
