A disturbing incident took place at Walt Disney World, where a Kentucky man, 22-year-old Clayton Snider, was arrested after a 10-year-old boy accused him of recording him while he was in the bathroom.
Snider was booked into the Orange County Jail on felony charges of video voyeurism, according to an arrest affidavit shared by Fox News.
The event occurred on October 7 at the Grand Floridan Resort & Spa, and Snider has been released on $5,000 bail, according to Orange County jail records.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office affidavit, a Georgia family was enjoying dinner at the resort when their 10-year-old son reported that an unknown man had photographed him from atop the bathroom.
The boy returned to the bathroom with his father, and there he recognized Snider by his black Sketchers sneakers. Snider “was not using the bathroom, but simply standing there,” according to the affidavit.
Discovered
The man strenuously denied taking photographs of the boy when confronted by the father, but the family didn’t stop there. Another family member requested Snider’s phone, which was in a Lilo and Stitch case, and recorded the interaction on his own device.
However, Snider fiddled with her phone for a few minutes before handing it to the woman. That led to suspicions that he was trying to eliminate evidence, Fox News reported.
The situation took a decisive turn when police searched the hidden and deleted photo albums on Snider’s phone, after obtaining permission and using Snider’s face to unlock the device.
A disturbing video was found on the phone showing the boy sitting on the bathroom toilet, with his pants around his ankles.
Snider, after refusing to unlock his Apple Watch invoking his right to an attorney, was arrested without incident.
