The promoter of Golden Boy Productions, Óscar de la Hoya, said this Tuesday that his pupil Ryan García will recover from the defeat he suffered last April against Gervonta Davis and that he will give his best version on December 2 when he faces Oscar Duarte
In a press conference prior to the fight between García and Duarte, Óscar de la Hoya assured that Ryan is ready for his next record and gave the boxer a boost considering that it is not easy to recover from the result of his last fight and without neglect your rival.
“I have to congratulate Ryan for accepting this difficult challenge after his loss. Duarte is coming off 11 consecutive victories by knockout. I mean, that says a lot about him, but it also says a lot about Ryan’s character,” the former boxer said.
Later, de la Hoya also spoke about what the future could be in the event of a victory for García against Duarte, commenting on the possibility of returning to compete for a world championship against Teófimo López himself.
However, he was cautious and said that García’s career should be taken carefully, although he predicted great things and a promising future for his career.
“I can see Ryan Garcia opening the Sphere in Las Vegas. “I can see Ryan Garcia being a superstar,” de la Hoya prophesied.
Finally, García himself took the microphones of the conference to point out that he will give everything in his fight against Duarte, an opponent who in his opinion will be very complicated.
“I just have to be careful with his aggression, his power. She is hungry. When facing a guy like me, they will always bring out their best level. They want to make a statement. They want what I have,” García concluded.
