Mexican boxing legend Julio César Chávez denied the rumors that have emerged in recent hours that his son Julio César Chávez Jr. is admitted to a psychiatric hospital due to his addiction to weight loss pills; He stated that the boxer is also quite healthy and is his home.
These statements were made by the former Mexican champion through a video shared on his social network account X (formerly Twitter), in which he appears with his other son Omar Chávez.
“A tabloid note is circulating that my son Julio is in a psychiatrist, it is totally false, my son is at home in Los Angeles. If you want to know about him, talk to him at his house,” expressed Julio César Chávez in the images shared on the digital platform.
“Let me inform you that there is false news circulating there, totally out of place, sensationalist, about my son Julio who is in a psychiatrist. My son Julio is fine, he is in Los Angeles, California with his family, take care of yourselves and blessings, don’t believe so much nonsense,” he added.
All this controversy was generated on Sunday when the American portal TMZ revealed that Chávez Jr. was recently treated by specialists after his wife Frida Chávez called the police to treat her husband for the large amount of medications he consumed and that she feared for his life.
This event occurred at the end of last October, which generated a wave of comments from the followers of the historic Mexican champion who has applied all his efforts to help his son overcome these health problems.
