Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed this Tuesday that the military offensive against Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip has been an “extraordinary success,” although organizations and countries have expressed concern about the death of thousands of Palestinian civilians in the midst of the attacks.

The new conflict between Israel and Gaza arose after the Islamist group violently and unexpectedly invaded Israeli territory on October 7: it killed, injured and kidnapped hundreds of innocent people. To date, world leaders demand that Hamas release the hostages it has held for a month.

“I would like to tell you that what we see on the ground, from the reports that the War Cabinet and I receive, and the conversations with commanders and soldiers, is an extraordinary success,” said the official during a visit to the Tzelim military base. , about 25 kilometers from the strip, cited by the Efe agency.

A month after the Hamas attack, the Israeli State announced that it has attacked more than 14,000 terrorist targets. He also reported that his troops are fighting inside Gaza, for the first time in years, Efe published.

“For the first time in decades, the Israeli Defense Forces are fighting in the heart of Gaza City. At this very moment, our soldiers are eliminating terrorists, uncovering tunnels, destroying weapons while continuing to advance towards the center of the enemy,” said Yaron Finkelman, commander of the Israeli Army’s Southern Command.

Just this Tuesday, the prime minister said in a televised statement that “Hamas is discovering” that Israel has reached places it thought it would never reach. “In the south, the war is advancing with a force that Hamas has never seen. Gaza City is surrounded, we are operating inside it. “We are intensifying the pressure on Hamas every hour, every day,” he said.
