Actress Sharon Stone claimed that she was sexually harassed by a former director of Sony Pictures, who would have summoned her to the studio offices in the late 1980s, before her artistic career took off.
The situation was revealed by the model during an interview on the SiriusXM program, “Let’s Talk Off Camera”, where the “Casino” star spoke about this case for the first time.
In the audio of the interview, cited by The Wrap, the actress recalled the outfit she had selected for the meeting, with which she felt ready to learn the details that awaited her in her career, however, the situation became dark because of what happened next.
“I was wearing my Ralph Lauren jacket, my denim skirt, and my cowgirl boots, and I was so excited to wear my special outfit and meet the head of Sony. When I got to his office I found, you know, back in the eighties, a couch that was basically on the floor.”
“They were these giant sofas very low and my knees were almost around my neck, of course because I’m very tall. While he was walking around the office. And he said ‘oh, it’s true what they say about you, you are the most beautiful. We haven’t seen anyone like you in decades. Everyone talks about you and looks at you. You’re so smart and beautiful… and that hair’… Then he came up to me, stood right in front of me and said, ‘But first…’ and he stuck his penis out in my face,” the actress said.
Stone says she didn’t know how to react to the incident, so she ended up crying and laughing, causing the manager to walk away from her. Later, he says that a secretary asked him to leave the office, without giving more details.
“I started laughing and crying at the same time and I couldn’t stop because I became hysterical. He couldn’t stop, so he didn’t know what to do. Then, of course, he took off and went through a door behind his desk, I didn’t know what to do,” he said.
Regarding these events, Stone reflected that this was one of the many occasions in which he experienced this type of harassment, especially during the rise of his career.
“I’ve been in this business for 40 years… I’ve seen it all,” he said.
Sharon Stone is part of the #MeToo movement, which has been characterized by allegations of sexual harassment and abuse in Hollywood, which have come to light following accusations against former film producer Harvey Weinstein.
