With the arrival of Cyber Monday, offers and discounts flood online stores, but how do you make sure you make the most of this day of online shopping? Here are some tips to save more and make smart purchases this Cyber Monday.
1. Visit retailers’ websites and social networks
It is best to plan what you are going to buy before doing it. For this, you can visit the stores’ social networks, since they usually promote their best offers there.
According to a recent Shopify survey, 33% of consumers would be willing to purchase directly from Instagram. 31% would do the same on Facebook, and 28% on TikTok.
2. Explore coupons and promotional codes
When you shop online, you can add another discount on top of the one you’re already getting for Cyber Monday.
Therefore, the recommendation is to check all the coupons and promotional codes available for stores, products and services.
Some apply to specific items, while others are for everything in the store.
3. Focus on what you want to buy, not just what’s on sale
Knowing in advance what you want to buy and then searching specifically for those items is crucial. And it’s easy for you to get distracted by good discounts, but they apply to things you don’t want.
If you’re not careful, Cyber Monday could cause you to spend more instead of saving, as you might be tempted to make impulse purchases.
That’s why you should set a budget and stick to it.
4. Make sure shipping is included
The deal may not be as good if it doesn’t include shipping. Therefore, whenever you can, you should buy things that include free shipping, since, in addition to saving money, you will save time.
If it doesn’t include free shipping, then you should check the list of surcharges at checkout. If the price for shipping is high, then it may not make sense to make the purchase.
