A lottery player of the Quick Pick game could be about to make a serious mistake by not checking their ticket. And the deadline to collect a prize of $44 million dollars is about to arrive and the winner will lose everything if he does not claim it.

The Florida Lottery announced that a $44 million winning ticket purchased at a gas station is about to expire.

The lottery is asking players to check their tickets as the prize has been unclaimed for almost six months.

The impressive jackpot is at risk of being declared void if the winner does not show up soon.

The winning quick pick ticket was purchased at a Sunoco Express gas station in the city of Kissimmee, the Florida Lottery said.

The winning numbers for the June 14 drawing were 9-13-15-46-51-21.

Although players normally have one year to claim their prizes, in Florida, the deadline is only 180 days.

This particular ticket will expire on December 11 at midnight.

If the deadline is met, the lottery will simply not give the prize to the winner for any reason.

The Florida Lottery advises players to check their tickets before it is too late.
