Intuit Inc., the global financial technology platform behind Intuit TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks and Mailchimp, announced that all products and services from both TurboTax Online and
TurboTax Live are available in Spanish starting November 30, 2023. Additionally, the onboarding experience for the Full Service option will also be available in Spanish in all states.
In a statement, the company points out that the new experiences in Spanish are based on innovations driven by Intuit’s Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), which will help eliminate the language barrier that many Latinos face when filing their tax returns. , so they can be sure that they are preparing their taxes correctly and that they will receive their maximum refund, guaranteed.
According to the 2020 Census, 16% of Latinos reported having limited English proficiency and may be frustrated by the lack of financial and tax solutions in their language.
With this tool, Hispanic taxpayers looking to file their returns in a comprehensive manner and in Spanish can now choose to do so in their native language from start to finish,
including help topics and sections with explanations on specific topics, thanks to Intuit Assist, TurboTax’s AI-powered assistant.
“Our TurboTax experiences in Spanish will help the Hispanic community eliminate the language barrier and uncertainty, and give them confidence that they will receive their largest refund, guaranteed, said Mark Notarainni, executive vice president and general manager of Intuit’s Consumer Group.
“In addition, to support Latino business owners, we hope that TurboTax Business Tax products will also be available in Spanish for the 2023 tax season,” Notarainni added.
In addition to fully Spanish tax filing experiences in TurboTax Online and TurboTax Live Assisted products, as well as the addition of Full Service experiences translated into Spanish in all states, several TurboTax products now also offer instant translations, even in mobile and desktop versions, thanks to GenAI and Large Language Models.
