Given the immense workload for postal offices during the Christmas season, the main parcel services in the United States have announced their respective deadlines for sending packages.
Consider the dates, schedule your shipments and make sure they arrive on time during this festive season, which is one of the busiest of the year.
Consider that the collection deadline for packages is December 20 to 22:
· Deadline for USPS is Wednesday, December 20
· To UPS on Thursday, December 21
· And for FedEx on Friday, December 22
So that your shipment is at its destination on time, the recommendation is to send it as early as possible.
With increased activity, USPS offers the following recommendations for users to have trouble-free shipments and deliveries during and after the holiday season:
Submit in advance
Avoid the last-minute rush by shipping items well in advance of the recommended Christmas shipping and postage dates, available here.
Use online tools
Users can use Click-N-Ship to purchase shipping labels, order priority mail packaging, and schedule free carrier pickup right from their home or office. The Postal Service also offers stamps, mailing supplies, collectibles and unique items to customers online at The Postal Store.
