Ron Johnson, a Republican senator from Wisconsin, suggested that President Joe Biden is allowing immigrants to cross the border so they can vote for him and other Democrats, even though they are not citizens and cannot vote.
In an interview Sunday with John Catsimatidis on his “Cats Roundtable” radio show, the Republican senator claimed that Democrats are pushing things like mail-in voting so they can “cheat.”
“These people are obviously very grateful to President Biden and his Democratic allies,” Johnson said, as reported by The Messenger. “They are counting on that. That’s why they promoted voting by mail… absentee voting… They want to make it easier to cheat.”
The senator, a conservative with anti-immigrant stances, added that immigrants will “eventually” vote Democratic, presumably after they become citizens. “That’s the game plan here,” he insisted, without showing any kind of proof.
Days earlier, in an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Johnson had called the situation at the border a “catastrophe” and accused Democrats of trying to use border security as “lever” to boost aid to Ukraine and Israel.
“The illegal immigration crisis at our southern border is overwhelming CBP, local educators, public safety and law enforcement,” he said in the interview, according to a clip shared on his X account, formerly Twitter. “This is not the time to carry on as usual. “An unprecedented crisis will require unprecedented actions.”
“New world order”
In another interview on Fox News, host Maria Bartiromo asked Senator Johnson if “the New World Order” had conspired to flood the United States with immigrants.
“And I guess there is a population that wants this,” Bartiromo said. “They want a new world order. “They want to fundamentally change America.”
Given that, the Republican senator agreed with the presenter, but assured that he is not racist.
“They want global governance. They don’t want borders. So no, this is going to destroy our country. There is no other way to look at this. And I repeat, I am not xenophobic. “I’m not racist,” the Wisconsin senator said.
Bartiromo then assured that “many reports,” without citing any specifically, say that the United States is giving “mobile phones” to immigrants who cross the border, in addition to food and lodging. He emphasized cell phones, asking the senator if he knew if this was true.
“I think that’s true,” Johnson responded. “You know, obviously, we’re paying for their planes and their plane and bus trips around the country. “We don’t keep track of where they are.”
“Lawless” President
In his interview on Sunday, the Republican senator accused President Joe Biden of being an “anarchic” leader. This, according to him, is due to the eviction moratorium to protect tenants during the Covid-19 pandemic and student loan exemptions.
“He is a lawless president. “He is running a lawless administration,” he declared, according to The Messenger.
“The Supreme Court rules on the eviction moratorium; said [en 2021] that was unconstitutional. He [la mantiene] anyway. Supreme Court rules that forgiving student loans is unconstitutional; continue to forgive them. It is a real problem when you have a lawless administration,” Johnson reproached.
