Pop star Beyoncé received bitter news on Christmas night. Her home where she spent the first few years of her life on Rosedale Street, Houston, caught fire in the early morning hours of December 25.
The media reports that firefighters received a call at 2:00 am, upon arriving at the scene they managed to control the fire in just 10 minutes.
It is known that the property currently belongs to a family with two small children, but it is assured that no one was injured because they managed to evacuate the two-story house in time.
Fire District Chief Justin Barnes told ABC 13 the crew was able to do a fairly quick and efficient job. He details that they had to break the roof of the house to clean the attic and control the fire.
At the moment it is unknown what caused the fire, ‘New York Post’ assures that the authorities are carrying out investigations.
So far Beyoncé has not spoken about the issue either, despite the fact that the home is a tourist spot in Houston for the singer’s fans.
It must be remembered that the Knowles family bought this property in 1981, the same year the pop star was born, for $64,000 dollars. They lived in the place until 1986, the year they decided to sell the place.
From that moment until now the place has belonged to several people, it is known that the last time the property entered the real estate market was in 2019.
