Jason Wagner, known as ‘King Ace’ and member of the band Latin King, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison in Miami.
The sentence responds to his participation in crimes of sex trafficking, obstruction of justice and support of organized crime, according to some agencies and the Miami Local 10 media.
Chief District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga imposed the sentence on Wagner, 41, of Miami. Since 2003, Wagner forced several women, including minors, into prostitution.
In addition, he kept them locked in apartments, took away their identification documents and subjected them to violence and drug use. Wagner’s capture was triggered after the alert from one of her victims.

Sexual crimes against minors in Florida
In Florida, sexual crimes against minors have been a persistent concern, reflecting a problem unfortunately common in many societies. These crimes cover a range of illegal conduct, including sexual abuse, exploitation, and trafficking of minors.
In recent years, there have been several high-profile cases in the state that have highlighted the seriousness of this problem. Florida authorities have cracked down on child sex crimes, with investigations and arrests involving individuals in various positions of power and trust, such as educators, coaches and other professionals.
These cases have generated greater public awareness about the need to protect minors and have led to debates about how to improve prevention and response measures in these situations.
At the same time, Florida has implemented stricter laws and prevention programs to combat sexual crimes against minors. This includes a sex offender registry, which is public and allows citizens to be informed about individuals convicted of sex crimes in their communities.
It is worth mentioning that in Florida, legislation is being considered that would allow the death penalty for those who commit sexual assault on minors under 12 years of age. This legislative proposal has generated an intense debate, since it raises the possibility of sentencing to death criminals who have not committed murder.
