A young man named Matthew Ables managed to enter Disney World’s Magic Kingdom using a ticket dating back to 1978.

Ables, whose story has gone viral on TikTok with more than 8.5 million views so far, discovered that what he considered an old family souvenir was actually an entrance ticket to the iconic park in Orlando.

Ables commented in her TikTok video that the pass, originally valued at $8 and which had been stored since before her birth, had never been used and, to her surprise, had no expiration date.

The young man decided to travel to Orlando, Florida to test if he could use the ticket to enter the park.

In the video, he is seen approaching the park ticket office, doubting the validity of his ticket.

The tension grew when, upon presenting his ticket, he observed how the person in charge marked the entire ticket book with ‘void’ stamps before leaving momentarily.

However, the story took a happy turn when he was given a yellow pass that allowed him one-day access to the Magic Kingdom, just as his 1978 ticket indicated.

“I really can’t believe this worked,” Ables said, surprised they let him in.

Currently, the cost of a one-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom ranges from $109 to $164, depending on the day you visit.
