President Joe Biden warned that the United States response after the attack by its troops in Jordan that began on Friday will continue as long as Washington deems it necessary.
“Our response started today. It will continue at a time and in places of our choosing,” he explained in a statement released by the White House after it was revealed that targets of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and related groups have been bombed in Syria and Iraq.
According to this message, the United States “does not seek conflict in the Middle East or any other part of the world.”
“But let all those who may intend to harm us know this: if you hurt an American, we will respond,” said the Democratic president.
Likewise, the executive recalled that three American soldiers lost their lives last Sunday by a drone that was launched by militias supported by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
The attack, which also left 40 injured, was claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq and Washington ultimately blames Iran, although the country has distanced itself from the matter.
“I consider him responsible in the sense that he is supplying weapons to the people who did it,” said the president last Tuesday, who has been warning all week, in the same way as the Pentagon, that the United States was going to respond for what occurred and an attack on its troops will not be tolerated.
