The Kremlin this Saturday rejected the possibility that Ukraine would implement the “surprises” that the United States Undersecretary of State, Victoria Nuland, promised during her trip to kyiv.
“As far as surprises are concerned, the United States is a direct participant in this conflict and by increasing the level of its involvement, it instigates the Kiev regime to continue the war. This will in no way influence the outcome of the special military operation,” presidential spokesman Dmitri Peskov told Russian public television.
The Russian representative, who stressed that the Government will achieve “all the objectives” that were set at the beginning of the military campaign, stressed that it is “the Americans who harm the Ukrainians,” since they are the ones who cause “more deaths.” Ukrainians.”
“As a rule, Nuland’s visits to Kiev do not bring anything good,” she said, recalling when the American diplomat distributed “dumplings” among people participating in the Maidan protests in 2014 that led to the overthrow of the then Ukrainian and pro-Russian president, Viktor Yanukovych.
“The Americans are now miraculously trying to shift the financial burden to the Europeans. The Europeans have already committed 50 billion euros. We will see how Americans manage to spend nothing and only make money,” he said.
Likewise, he added, these “maintain their hostile stance towards our country in all its manifestations.”
“We are alert. Our president (Vladimir Putin) knows what to do. The special military operation continues,” he stated.
Nuland noted on Thursday during his trip to kyiv that Putin will receive “nice surprises on the battlefield,” since, he alleged, “Ukraine will achieve very great successes this year” once it strengthens its defenses.
In this sense, he confirmed that the GLSDB high-precision bombs (which are launched by rocket and have a range of up to 93 miles) are already “on their way” to the front.
With the weapons, the Ukrainian Army hopes to increase the effectiveness of its attacks against the rear supply routes sent by Russia and, in turn, reach the objectives in the annexed Crimean peninsula.
