The corridos tumbados icon, Peso Pluma, won a Grammy for Best Mexican Album for his album “Génesis.”
This Sunday the Mexican singer won his first megaphone after competing alongside Lila Downs, Ana Bárbara, Flor de Toloache and Lupita Infante
during the Grammy Premiere ceremony, where the “She Baila Sola” singer was not present, as he was preparing for his arrival on the red carpet.
Through Instagram Stories, his girlfriend Nikki Nicole congratulated him after he was announced as the winner of the category. “Congratulations my love, this is the first of many. I love you. “It’s good to see you happy,” the singer wrote in the recording academy’s post.
After the victory, the Mexican shared a message on social networks to thank the unconditional support of his fans,
“Thanks to all of you who listen and support my music, today a dream not only of mine but of an entire team came true. I will continue to represent my country wherever I go! Happy to be able to belong to the list of great Mexican artists who have won a Grammy. 🇲🇽🌎 I LOVE THEM.”
“Génesis” is the third album by “Doble’P”, which was released in June 2023. The album spawned the singles “PCR”, “Lady Gaga” and “Las Morras”.
