Antonio Redden, a resident of Seminole County, Florida, saw his life radically change after purchasing a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket. This ticket gave him a staggering $1 million dollar prize.
Redden, 56, of Sanford, went to the Lottery’s Tampa District Office to collect his new fortune.
However, instead of receiving the full award in annual payments, Redden opted to receive a one-time lump sum of $640,000, after collecting the required taxes.
The winner purchased their ticket at a Kevin’s Corner Store. The establishment, which is in his hometown, will now receive a $2,000 bonus just for having sold the winning ticket.
This event follows the launch in February of the $50 scratch-off game ‘$1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR’, which offers two grand prizes of $1 million annually for life and 234 prizes of $1 million.
Additionally, the game features over $1.6 billion in prize money, and the overall odds of winning any prize of any amount are 1 in 4.50.
