The singer Karol G won her first American Grammy this Sunday in the category of Best Urban Music Album thanks to her studio album “Mañana will be nice.”
“I am very happy to be here in front of so many legends (…) My album has given me the best memories of my life,” said the Colombian after receiving the coveted award from her compatriot Maluma and her colleague Christina Aguilera.
“I hope it’s the first of many!” she concluded, visibly excited, but not before saying goodbye with a shout of “Latinos!” provoking applause from the attendees.”
The Colombian was the winner in the shortlist where she was competing with reggaeton singer Rauw Alejandro with his album ‘Saturno’, and Puerto Rican composer and producer Tainy with his first solo album ‘Data’.
“Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful” is a journey through different emotions and feelings that Karol G has experienced in a moment of transition in her life, where the main message is “It doesn’t matter what bad day you are having, after everything you are living today…Tomorrow will be beautiful.”
The album features collaborations with artists of the stature of the bachatero Romeo Santos, Shakira and the Spanish Quevedo.
