“But I’ve been altering my cutter and slider pitch a little bit, looking to make it more of a chase pitch, something that can swing and miss below the zone, and I’m looking to get to Florida. and see the trial and error process with real hitters,” the pitcher added.

This will become Ottavino’s third season defending the colors of the New York Mets, an institution in which he will continue with the fundamental role of providing stability on the mound to be able to help them in key moments or even opening games when necessary.

“As one of the leaders of this team, I think my message will be more along the lines of: Collectively, we need to have our heads in the right place in the clubhouse. Obviously, the fans are there to support us and will fulfill their wishes. And that is incredible,” she emphasized.
