The president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, spoke this Monday after the draw for the official calendar for the 2026 World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, indicating that he is happy that it is New York that will enjoy the biggest game in the world. history.
For Infantino, New York and New Jersey hosting the decisive match of the World Cup will mean a “unique experience that will unite the world.”
“New York and New Jersey are celebrating now because they have won the most important game in the history of soccer,” commented the president of the soccer governing body.
The president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, assured that the 2026 World Cup final, jointly organized by the United States, Mexico and Canada and which will be held in New York/New Jersey, will be “epic” in his opinion.
Furthermore, part of Infantino’s statement was justified with the fact that New York is one of the capitals of the World and that it is home to more than 200 nationalities of thousands of migrants who live in the city.
