The vocalist of La Maldita Vecindad and Los Hijos del Quinto Patio, Roco Pachukote, is hospitalized due to an allergic reaction, caused by extreme antibiotic poisoning, it was reported through a statement published by the band on social networks.

“At this moment, our dear brother Roco Pachukote faces a delicate health situation, derived from an allergic reaction caused by extreme antibiotic poisoning, a situation that keeps him hospitalized with specialized care,” the report reads.

The musician and founder of the band that performs songs like “Kumbala” and “Pachuco” was diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which makes it impossible for him to do physical activities, as well as be exposed to the outdoors, as detailed, “since “Your skin has experienced a strong reaction.”

After announcing the singer’s state of health, the group’s presentations and commitments, scheduled from February to March, have been postponed.

Although reference was made to the singer’s delicate state of health, the statement mentioned that “Roco is in a stable condition and focused on his physical recovery,” with the aim of returning to his musical activities as soon as possible.

The group ended the statement by thanking the vocalist for their support, understanding and good wishes.
