The 36th edition of the Lo Nuestro Awards confirmed the great moment of the Colombian Karol G by becoming the great winner of the night with 9 awards. Although the “QLONA” singer could not attend because she is on the second part of her “Mañana Se Bonito” tour in Mexico, the talent and charisma of the Latin artist was felt throughout the Kaseya. Among the diversity of recognitions obtained by the Colombian are Female Artist of the Year – Urban, Collaboration of the Year – Urban, Album of the Year – Urban, Song of the Year – Pop-Urban, among others.

Meanwhile, the Mexicans Peso Pluma and Carin León supported the Colombian by taking 4 awards each, the same number of awards that Maluma and his compatriot Shakira each obtained during the spectacular evening.

The red carpet and presentations of Premios Lo Nuestro 2024

Prior to the ceremony, a large number of Latin stars paraded along the iconic magenta carpet of the most Latin award of the year. Celebrities of the stature of Adamari López, Camilo y Evaluna, Gloria Trevi, Gabriel Soto, Anitta, among others.

Once the parade of stars was over, Angélica Vale, Clarissa Molina and Galilea Montijo, the spectacular presenters of the night, began the gala with the musical presentation of various artists such as Camilo and Evaluna, who presented, for the first time, their song “PLEASE”.

Kane Brown, the country star, and Carin León, the Mexican regional revelation, took the stage together to present “The One.” Don Omar, the living legend of reggaeton, also made an appearance with the classic song “Danza Kuduro” in addition to being awarded the Global Icon award.

Likewise, stars of the caliber of Chayanne and Maluma were present with spectacular shows that enchanted the entire audience.

We also cannot leave out Anitta, along with Bad & Gyal, who dazzled all attendees with their presentation. Gente de Zona, for its part, made a touching tribute to the legendary salsa singer Celia Cruz with the song “La Negra Hace Tumbao.”

Another moment of great significance in the ceremony was the presentation of Ricardo Montaner performing the song “Tan Enamorado”, which served as a tribute to the recently deceased creator of the Premio Lo Nuestro, Omar Marchant. Likewise, Gloria Trevi was present with Banda MS in a special performance.

Ana Barbara also lit up the Kaseya Center stage with her participation as well as her Lo Nuestro Award for Lifetime Achievement. Meanwhile, Olga Tañón was also recognized with the Lo Nuestro Award for Excellence.

The winners of the night

In addition to Karol G’s 9 awards, the night also awarded great collaborations such as that of the Mexicans Angela Aguilar and Yuridia with the song “Qué Agonía” in the category of Mariachi/Ranchera Song of the Year. Other winners were Romeo Santos, with 3 awards for Artist of the Year – Tropical, Collaboration of the Year – Tropical and Album of the Year – Tropical.

The Argentine producer Bizarrap was also present by obtaining 2 awards for Song of the Year and Pop-Urban Collaboration of the Year, the same amount that Eslabón Armado took home, for Song of the Year and Fusion Mexican Music of the Year, and the Colombian Feid , for Male Artist of the Year – Urban and Song of the Year – Urban.

Grupo Frontera, for Breakthrough Artist Group or Duo and Group or Duo of the Year; Ha*Ash, for Song of the Year – Pop and Song of the Year – Pop/ballad; and Kenia Os, for Female Newcomer and Song of the Year – Pop, won 2 awards each.

Meanwhile, artists such as Black Eyed Peas, for “Crossover” Collaboration of the Year; Chayanne, for Song of the Year – Tropical; and Daddy Yankee, for “Crossover of the Year” Collaboration, were awarded an award individually, as was Tini, who won her first Lo Nuestro Award in her career.
