Actress Wendy Williams announced in a statement that she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, the same disease that actor Bruce Willis suffers from.

“As Wendy’s fans know, in the past she has been open with the public about her medical struggles with Graves-Basedow disease, as well as other significant challenges related to her health. Receiving a diagnosis has allowed Wendy to receive the medical care she needs.

The decision to share this news was a difficult one and was made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but also to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia to support thousands of people who “They face similar circumstances,” reads the report, revealed by the Page Six portal.

Close members of Williams’ team revealed that they began to notice that the artist was forgetting words and exhibiting increasingly recurrent erratic behavior.

So last year, the TV star underwent a series of tests to determine the causes of her continued memory lapses and changes in her mood.

This disease is neurodegenerative, so its early diagnosis is of vital importance so that adequate and effective treatment can be applied.

It should be added that the location of Williams’ treatment center is totally unknown to her relatives, who alleged that the presenter has been exploited and manipulated since she was assigned financial guardianship in 2022, due to her problems with alcoholism.

In the coming days, a documentary titled “Where is Wendy Williams?” will be released, which will delve even further into the health and alcoholism problems that led the star to lose the steering wheel of her life, as well as her experiences, after guardianship was imposed.
