A woman was found dead with bruises on her face and knees inside a park in The Bronx (NYC) early yesterday morning.

A visitor to Walter Gladwin Park made the dramatic discovery near the corner of E. 175th St. and Arthur Ave. in East Tremont around 5 a.m. Friday, the NYPD said.

The woman was officially pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately released. Aside from wounds to her face and knees, there did not appear to be any other trauma to her body, cops said. An autopsy by the City Coroner’s Office (OCME) should determine how and when she died.
