Lucas Podolski, the 38-year-old German player who currently plays for Górnik Zabrze in Poland, has had a distinguished career in both football and the business world.
Throughout his career, he has defended the shirt of several of the main clubs in Europe and the German national team, with which he won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
In addition to his success in football, Podolski has successfully ventured into the business world. In 2017 he launched his own line of ice cream, Ice Cream United, and in 2018 he opened a chain of kebab restaurants called Mangal Doner, which has 30 branches in Germany. These endeavors highlight his dedication and ability to face new challenges, as well as his interest in establishing a legacy outside of the stadium.
According to reports from the British newspaper The Sun, collected by Infobae, Podolski’s net worth amounts to 177.5 million pounds sterling, including income from his playing career, which totals almost $225 million dollars.
In terms of sport, Podolski has played 18 games for Górnik Zabrze so far this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists. Although his team was eliminated in the round of 16 of the Polish Cup, it is currently in seventh position in the local league with 32 points, 10 less than the leader Śląsk Wroclaw.
At the international level, Podolski has left an indelible mark on the Germany team, with which he won the World Cup in 2014 and played a total of 130 games, scoring 49 goals, until his last game against England in 2017.
