Last year Prime Video released ‘Saltburn’, a film directed by Emerald Fennell and starring Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi. The film has generated many opinions, some hate it and others love it, but without a doubt its fans are making a much greater presence on networks.

Recently British media have reported that fans of the film and some curious people are gathering outside the house in Northamptonshire, England, where the story was recorded to take photos and record videos.

This situation is not so pleasant for Charles Stopford Sackville, owner of the country house. According to ‘Daily Mail’ the man said: “I never imagined the amount of interest there would be. It’s quite strange. I don’t take it as flattering. How would you feel if people were taking pictures outside your house? “I would prefer the interest to go away, but I can’t make it go away.”

On social networks, especially on TikTok, there are many videos that are proof of what the owner of the large mansion says. They even give clear directions on how to get there.

Everything seems to indicate that Charles never imagined that the house would take on such importance and that people would take the time to get to the place. But it is understandable, since the house within the film played a leading role, as much as that of Keoghan and Elordi.

In real life this house is known as Drayton House, but in fiction its name is Saltburn. In the film this luxury estate belongs to the Catton family.

Although the mansion was built in the 1300s and has been Grade I listed, it has never been a public residence, and in its entire history it has never served as a film or television recording set.
