This 59-year-old resident, who preferred to remain anonymous, purchased a “Fantasy 5 Double Play” lottery game ticket at the BP gas station located at 19995 West 9 Mile Road in Southfield. To his astonishment, the numbers from the February 11 drawing, 02-06-11-20-23, matched the numbers selected on his ticket, giving him a prize of $110,000.
Interestingly, this amount of money turned out to be exactly the same amount he won in September 2023, when he matched all 5 numbers in the August 31 draw. On that occasion, she had also bought his ticket at the same gas station.
“The first time I won I was able to pay off all my debt. Now I can have some fun. I don’t have any special plans for money yet. I plan to sit and watch it in my bank account for a while,” the lucky winner shared.
“After winning $110,000 in August, I changed my ‘Fantasy 5’ numbers. I took my tickets to the store to check them. The clerk scanned the bills, handed one back to me, and said, ‘I think you won big.’ I thought, ‘There’s no way. I can’t be that lucky.’ I looked up the winning numbers and sure enough, I had won again. I could not believe it. Winning is a great blessing,” he told Michigan Lottery officials when he went to claim the prize from him.
