Carlos Vela has made a decision about his next destination as a professional soccer player, and apparently, he will continue in Major League Soccer (MLS) but changing teams in California, leaving behind the possibility of returning to Liga MX.
As reported by Fernando Cevallos in La Última Palabra, Vela will not return to Mexico and will remain in the MLS, but will sign for the San José Earthquakes, thus ruling out the option of continuing with LAFC or joining the Galaxy, since the latter is the staunch rival. of his new team.
“Carlos Vela does not arrive in Mexico, he will stay in the MLS. He will be announced tomorrow (today) and he stays in California; but in the San José Earthquakes, he will not continue in LAFC or go to the Galaxy because he is the staunch rival,” the journalist revealed on FOX Sports.
If this information is confirmed, Vela will take Cade Cowell’s place on the Californian team, but with the difference that he will arrive as a franchise player.
On the other hand, Cevallos sent a message to Chivas fans, who were hoping to see Vela in the red and white shirt: “I didn’t expect him to return to Mexico, I didn’t see him, because he didn’t want to play here.”
Let us remember that Vela was on the list of possible reinforcements for Club Guadalajara for Clausura 2024, after his contract with LAFC ended without renewing it.
Rumors about Vela’s return to Liga MX intensified, especially after the departure of Alexis Vega, who freed up the number ’10’ and freed up a large amount of money for the ‘Sacred Flock’.
