Senator Marco Rubio warned on Sunday about the impact of the criminal group known as the Aragua Train in the United States, highlighting its history in Venezuela and other Latin American countries, such as Colombia and Peru, where it has generated terror and where authorities have detected cells. of this bloodthirsty criminal organization.
Rubio, in an interview with Fox News, emphasized that the possible presence of the Venezuelan criminal group has been particularly devastating, spreading violence and sowing fear. And he regretted that some of its members have allegedly managed to reach the United States, for which he raised serious concerns about the possibility of their criminal activities continuing on American soil.
The senator noted: “There are criminals in every country in the world. If you take 6.2 million people anywhere, a percentage of them will be criminals. They are not criminals because they are immigrants. “They are criminals because they are criminals.”
Continuing with his argument, Rubio added: “(The) Aragua Train gang left Venezuela, it has terrorized Colombia, Peru and other countries. Some of those people have now arrived in the United States. What do we think they will do once they get here? Do we think they become stockbrokers? Do we think they run some charity now? No, here they do what they did in Peru, in Colombia, and in Venezuela before that. “They are criminals.”
The Republican senator stated, in a direct criticism of the immigration policy of the Joe Biden government, that this happens when “7.2 million people are allowed to invade” the United States.
“A percentage of them are going to be criminals. And what do criminals do? They commit crimes. “That is what is happening now in the United States with many of these people,” she warned.
He mentioned that if only 1% of immigrants are dangerous criminals, that could mean a large number of individuals with criminal records on the streets of the United States.
“Let’s say there are 6.2 million who are in this country illegally right now for the last three years. If only 1% of them are dangerous criminals, that means 62,000 criminals on our streets today, people who were criminals abroad, in their own countries, before they even came here. “We are seeing this unfold every day, tragically, in the news headlines,” the politician exemplified.
Marco Rubio also assured that Republicans would support executive action to secure the border.
“And not only would we support it, we have asked for it. He should have done it sooner. We spent two and a half years arguing with the Biden administration about whether there was a crisis. We cannot forget that for two and a half years Biden and all of his substitutes and deputies said that there was no crisis, that nothing wrong is happening down there. For a long time they denied it until they couldn’t take it anymore,” he said.
