Adamari López decided to give details of the situation she experienced moments before getting divorced after the difficult circumstances she went through in her relationship with Luis Fonsi. The presenter confessed that her illness was a breaking point in her marriage because the singer did not know how to handle the situation and distanced himself emotionally from her.
“The good thing lasted about a year. He had to go to work in Mexico. “I already understood that things were cold between Fonsi and me, but I didn’t know if it was the distance… He never wanted to go to the house, which in theory was ours,” he began by saying in an interview with Yordi Rosado.
“It was a cold relationship, but I always had the desire that everything would get better. (I thought) I’m not at home, he’s angry and when I finish working, everything will go back to normal. I returned to Miami and there was no improvement, they didn’t even pick me up at the airport. I knew things were going to be complicated, but he wasn’t one to talk. He told me ‘It’s not you, it’s me. I don’t want to talk about that,’” added the host of Puerto Rican origin.
Suddenly, López received news that she was not prepared for at the time: “One day while I was traveling, she called me and told me that she wanted to get divorced. That she didn’t love me anymore. There is no life after that. At that moment you don’t eat, you don’t sleep, you don’t stop thinking, your head doesn’t stop hurting. “It’s anguish.”
“I am having surgery again in Jacksonville (Florida) to remove an implant. He arrived at that place, we went down to Miami together and the next day he already had a place to go. He finished grabbing the things and said, ‘I’ll be back later.’ And when he was in the other place he called me and told me: ‘I have everything I need, I’m not going back,’” he told the Mexican driver.
Furthermore, she explained that her ex-husband is somewhat uncomfortable with having to speak publicly about this personal aspect of her past: “I don’t think it was from the point of view of someone who wants to do harm. He is younger than me and maybe he didn’t know how to handle things. Fonsi would like no one else to ask him about this topic again. I don’t have a problem because this is something I’ve already overcome.”
