Many eyes remain focused on the impressive residence complex that Mark Zuckerberg is building in Kauai, Hawaii. First because it is valued at $260 million dollars and second because the construction plans include a bunker.
Since the end of last year there has been talk about this new project developed by the founder of Facebook and current CEO of Meta. Initially it caught the attention of many because the underground bunker that he plans to build will have an area of 5,000 square feet, this generated many theories about information that the businessman could have.
The magazine ‘Wired’, specialized in technology, continues to reveal information about the projects that exist in Zuckerberg’s large plot of land. It should be taken into account that the people involved in the project had to sign a confidentiality agreement, and the land is currently protected by two-meter-high walls.
It is known that Zuckerbeg and his family fell in love with this Hawaiian community for quite some time, so in 2014 the owner of Meta began purchasing several pieces of land in the area until he had 1,359 acres or 550 hectares.
All that space is available to create a residential complex that could even be considered a city, the name of the property is Koolau Ranch. According to ‘Wared’, the plans include the construction of more than 12 buildings. The media was able to access some documents that let them know that the structures will include two large mansions with many luxuries.
It is said that in addition to the two main houses, they want to convert some of the structures into an operations center. Also one of the buildings is assigned as a relaxation and entertainment space with: gym, sauna, spa, swimming pool, sports courts and more.
In addition, in the forested areas they want to build “a network of 11 disc-shaped tree houses,” says the research.
As said before, the underground bunker will be built with steel and concrete walls and is designed to withstand explosions. This information is what has generated distrust among the general public.
On the other hand, ‘Wired’ investigation exposes that this entire project is being carried out without thinking about the community. Kauai is said to be a small island inhabited by approximately 73,000 people.
