The boxer Ryan García has greatly worried both his close environment and his fans thanks to the disconcerting messages he has published in recent days on social networks, but apparently that would be about to end after he himself decided to set a limit to his actions.

In a new message published this Wednesday, García said that he no longer had plans to continue sharing his controversial comments, so he will now dedicate himself to talking about boxing and focus 100% on his next fight scheduled for April 20 against Devin Haney.

“I, Ryan Garcia, will not speak, tweet or write anything other than my boxing and sports fight. All topics of discussion will be discussed after my fight. 5 weeks of concentration. You have my word that I’m locked up. See you on 4-20″, he said on his X account (formerly Twitter).

I Ryan Garcia, will not be speaking or tweeting or writing anything else then My Fight “Boxing” and Sports.

All topics of discussion will be discussed after my fight 🥊 5 weeks of focus.

You have my word I’m locked in I’ll see you 4-20

García also acknowledged that he has had strange behavior and has shared “quite intense things,” but that he remains focused on what matters to him, which is mainly boxing.

The statement by the fighter of Mexican descent comes after intriguing messages on social media last Tuesday claimed that he had been murdered and that his body would never be found.

García later published a video where he appeared talking about the incident and where he said that he had lost control of his Instagram, Twitter and bank accounts.

However, some time later, he again sent messages that distanced himself from boxing and that suggested that he had regained control of his personal networks but without explaining how he did it.

This resulted in thousands of followers showing their concern for King Ry’s mental health, although his close environment such as his father and coach, as well as his mother, ensured that he continued working at the highest level for the challenge against Haney.

García (20-1-0) will seek his first world title against Haney, to which he arrives inspired after knocking down Óscar Duarte last December when he became the WBA Gol Welterweight champion.
