Shakira has officially started the promotional tour for her new album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” with her recent, brief performance in Times Square, New York, on March 26.
In just over 20 minutes, the Colombian attracted nearly 40,000 people with a presentation where she mixed some of her new songs as well as her classic compositions.
However, after her lightning presentation, the South American singer created even greater expectations among her followers due to a publication in which she unofficially revealed a series of concerts in Mexico, Brazil and Colombia.
Will Shakira perform for free in various countries?
In this publication, made on Spotify’s official Instagram account, through the Viva Latino profile, a short clip was revealed in which the new song by the Colombian “Puntería” is heard in the background, while a series of animated jewels, elements flagship of Shakira’s new album, fall on various cities on the American continent.
Firstly, you can see a series of diamonds falling over the city of New York, site of the singer’s recent concert. Later, various rubies are seen landing in Mexico City, Mexico, very close to the Palace of Fine Arts.
Then, a series of sapphires fall on the famous Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to finally see an image of the city of Bogotá, Colombia, while various emeralds fall and disperse.
It is worth mentioning that in the Spotify post you can also read the legend: “Las Mujeres No Longer Cry” arriving in a city near you. Stay tuned for what’s coming from @shakira.”
After the revelation of the post and the New York concert, a large number of followers and fans of the singer related the publication to the possible appearance of Shakira, in the destinations shown, through brief appearances for free. However, and so far, the dates, times and specific places in which the “Waka Waka” interpreter could perform her show are unknown.
It is worth remembering that Shakira’s recent show in New York City was announced a few hours before through the singer’s social networks. Therefore, it would not be a surprise if the artist used “that strategy” again to carry out her shows in the aforementioned cities.
Released on March 25, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” is the twelfth album in the singer’s long career. The new material has 8 new songs as well as a compilation of various songs that the Colombian released during the last two years in collaboration with various artists.
