The Fairfax County Police Department said the suspect in the shooting at a daycare center in Springfield has already been captured by the Fugitive Tracking and Apprehension Unit. The shooting took place this Wednesday morning, March 27, where two women, apparently teachers, were injured, but out of danger.
Virginia authorities began the investigation into the shooting, where fortunately none of the children or babies who were at the daycare located at 8500 Bauer Dr. in Springfield were injured, they are all safe.
The man who fired the shot, apparently during a domestic dispute, later fled the scene, but officers managed to find him and capture him.
It was designated as dangerous
Fairfax police requested the search for Julio Pascual Sejas, 41 of Arlington, for being identified as the possible person responsible for the shooting, who was driving a Dodge Ram with VA license plates TSX5565, and was wearing a hat and a black shirt. He was marked as dangerous.
Authorities held a conference at the scene, where Deputy Chief Brooke Wright provided an update on the accident. Two women were injured and taken to a hospital; His health condition is not serious.
The identity of the two victims was not revealed by the police, nor the relationship that exists with the possible gunman. The only thing they mentioned is that the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute. The deputy chief said that Julio Pascual arrived at the daycare armed and when they did not let him in he shot through the door.
The daycare children are fine
Likewise, Wright explained that the children at the daycare were fine, they immediately called their parents to take them home and everyone was safe. Also, since there were no more injuries.
Hours later, the Fugitive Tracking and Apprehension Unit was able to locate Julio Pascual Sejas at Dulles International Airport and managed to arrest him and take him into custody.
He now faces seven charges, including two counts of aggravated malicious wounding and three counts of shooting into a school building.
