A winning ticket from the Fantasy 5 drawing, corresponding to Monday, October 2, 2023, is about to expire, according to the Florida Lottery.

This ticket, which was purchased at the Kwik Stop store in Florida City, in the south of the state, has a prize of $43,586.20.

However, if the owner does not claim it before midnight on Saturday, March 30, just before Easter Sunday 2024, they will lose their right to collect it.

The winning numbers of that draw were 7-17-20-29-33.

Florida Lottery policy states that prizes must be claimed within 180 days (six months) of the drawing date.

For those who opt for the single cash payment, the period is reduced to the first 60 days after the date of the draw.

What happens to unclaimed prize money? In accordance with state law, 80% of prize funds from expired tickets are transferred to the Educational Improvement Fund.

The remaining 20% is returned to the prize fund for future draws.

To validate the winning ticket, any Florida Lottery store can perform the procedure, although the prize must be claimed in person at a Florida Lottery district office.
