The BBVA stadium in Monterrey will dress up next April 10 to host one of the most anticipated matches of the Concacaf Champions Cup, where the Rayados will host Inter Miami in the second leg of the quarterfinals of the international competition.
The Mexican team announced that tickets were sold out to see the Rayados de Monterrey vs Inter Miami game, even though Lionel Messi’s participation is in doubt.
Rayados thanks the fans on social media for guaranteeing a full house at the BBVA Stadium for the second leg of the quarterfinals to be played on April 10 on Aztec soil. The first leg will take place at Inter Miami’s home on the 3rd of the same month.
“Thank you, Fans! The Casa Rayada will be a party and Monterrey and its people will play their part for a place in the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup,” Rayados posted on his X account.
The club launched this Friday the free sale for the tickets that remained after the activation of the subscribers, who had this game for free due to a promotion launched by the Gang in the renewal of the plastics.
Although the free sale began at 11:00 a.m. this Friday, the virtual line ended up being enabled around 11:20 a.m. and minutes later there was no longer availability in the areas that were enabled.
Inter Miami without selling their tickets
Contrary to what is happening in Mexico, the duel in Miami has not generated the expected interest among fans of the Florida team, which has led to all the tickets for the clash having to be sold out.
The American portal World Soccer Talk reported that tickets for the DRV PNK Stadium now have a minimum price of $60 and a maximum of $90, when they originally cost $150.
Several factors have contributed to the decrease in ticket sales, including the absence of Lionel Messi in the match due to a recent injury, despite the fact that players such as Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets will be present.
Another factor mentioned by the media ‘World Soccer Talk’ is the preference of MLS fans to attend matches on weekends instead of midweek, citing as an example the match between Inter Miami and Nashville of Concacaf. , which failed to sell all its tickets.
The first leg will be played on April 3 at Chase Stadium at 6:00 pm (Mexico City Central Time) or 8:00 pm (Eastern Time), while the return match will be on April 10 at the ‘Gigante de Acero’ in Monterrey at 8:30 pm (Mexico City Central Time) or 10:30 pm (Eastern Time).
