Shakira’s entire life has once again been placed in the public eye following the release of the singer’s new album called “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.” Through recent interviews, the singer has spoken, within the framework of her twelfth album, about a large number of topics such as her relationships, the source of inspiration for her music and more recently about her beginnings as an artist and the amount she charged for their shows.

Through a recent talk, the Colombian mentioned that she began her career, like a large number of artists, through performances at private parties during her adolescence.

I have performed at bar mitzvahs, quinceañeros, and company meetings. I have been working since I was 10 years old. At 15, I bought my first car, the ‘shakimobile’.”

How much did Shakira charge for her first shows?

In the same interview, the “Día de Enero” performer mentioned that during the 90s, specifically in 1996, she used to perform shows at various events for the amount of $2,500 dollars.

According to the South American, her son Milan, to whom Shakira told the same information, asked his mother if he could also perform at similar events to start earning money.

Today, and with more than 20 years of experience, the singer has established herself as one of the most important and transcendent artists today, to the point of selling more than 75 million records worldwide as well as earning dozens of awards.

Shakira’s future

After their much-talked-about concert in Times Square, in New York, United States, the official Spotify account, through its Vive Latino channel, revealed a video, with the song “Puntería” by Shakira in the background, where you can see various gems fall on some of the most important cities on the American continent: New York, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro and Bogotá.
