The Master 1000 title in Miami achieved by tennis player Jannik Sinner did not go unnoticed in the world of tennis, as the Italian, in addition to the championship, will also climb to new positions in the ATP ranking.
The victory of the Italian athlete has raised passions. Without a doubt, one of the most emotional reactions has been that of Laura Pausini, who was present on the track to witness the triumph of her compatriot.
Pausini congratulated Sinner through a post on Instagram, after also doing so on the track. “Our champion Jannik Sinner once again led Italy to victory, thanks to his talent, his training, his willpower and his character. You are a great source of pride for all of us and an example for all young people. It was wonderful to be by your side on such an important day! And it’s just the first of many dates that await us together, I will do everything possible to follow you!” read the caption.
Laura Pausini was not the only celebrity in the stands, since the Colombian artist Shakira was also seen with one of her children.
Sinner happy for his performance
After the victory against Dimitrov, Sinner showed his humility with his statements at the press conference. “It means a lot to me, but above all it was a great performance, particularly in the semi-final and final, which is more important to me. Being number two is a great feeling, I never imagined reaching this point,” he expressed about the victory.
“I come from a very normal family, my father still works and my mother, too. For me, sport is one thing, and life is another,” she added. “I am very happy to be in this position, I enjoy every moment. These days are special when you win a tournament, no matter what tournament, it is a special day and it means a lot to me,” she assured the media.
The Italian has set Roland Garros as his main objective, although he does not overlook the competition in his homeland, in Rome, “a very special tournament, I play in front of my audience, it is always fantastic.”
The Italian tennis player has acknowledged on several occasions that he likes to lead a very quiet life, doing things in his daily life that allow him to train “with peace of mind the next day.”
Sinner always defines himself as “a normal guy off the court”, who likes to play the Playstation and go to dinner from time to time, although he prefers to stay at home quietly.
