Luis Rubiales, former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), had recently signed a contract with an American production company to make a film based on his own life, reported the Spanish media El Debate.

The film project will be named after Red Carder and the signing of the contract took place in Los Angeles at the end of last year.

The production company that is secretly working on this project is Passage Pictures, from the famous producer Uri Singer and the phase in which the project is today is the development of the plot scripts and thinking about which actors can fit in the project.

The film will delve into the rise and subsequent fall of Luis Rubiales in the RFEF, and according to the aforementioned media, not in such depth in the case of the kiss with Jennifer Hermoso at the World Cup.

Apparently the objective of the American production company would be to contact the Spanish soccer player to include her version of the events in the film, intending it to be as faithful as possible to reality from an objective point of view.

Producer Singer aims to contact Hermoso to include his version of the events in the film and absolutely rules out taking the side of either Rubiales or the player, but telling the events from an objective reality.

The American’s environment maintains that its purpose is to make a project “attractive and respectful of real-life scenes and the people involved.” Rubiales’ controversial kiss led to his suspension and subsequent expulsion as president of the Federation.
