The historic American boxer and now boxing promoter, Floyd Mayweather Jr., decided to send an emotional message of support to the boxer Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero for the defeat he suffered via knockout against Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz last Saturday in a duel that without a doubt became a true fight of the titans.

Despite having started a strong promotion before the fight in which Rolly Romero assured that he would be able to defeat his opponent with complete ease, he failed to fulfill his promises and threats in the ring; In all rounds, Pitbull Cruz managed to demonstrate his qualities of power and physical resistance to be able to control the fight and achieve the knockout in the eighth round to win all the bets.

Despite this, this Monday Floyd Mayweather himself decided to share through his account on the social network Instagram a message of support for Romero in which he published a photograph in which they appear together to show him that this defeat in his record will not affect his career and much less mark the end of it.

In his words he urged him to continue fighting for his goals and never give up; He also demonstrated his total pride in the performance he showed in the ring to try to win.

“Keep your head up! I am incredibly proud of you for achieving the remarkable feat of becoming a two-time world champion in less than 18 fights, all without any amateur experience, and in just 14 years of total combat sports experience. In this journey we call life, you will win and lose, that is the game. But in life, we all face defeats, including me. So remember, when people try to tear you down, don’t let it keep you down. Get back up, stay true to yourself, and recognize how much you have accomplished,” Mayweather wrote in the post.

With these words, the American hopes that the current fighter seeks to improve in all possible capacities to be able to perform better in the next fights he stars in in 2024.
