More and more sports figures are joining Baseball United, the first professional baseball league focused on the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.
The latest to join is Ronald Acuña Jr., current MVP of the National League in the Major Leagues and becoming the youngest and highest-profile active MLB player to join the ownership group of the new league.
The official Baseball United account announced the integration of Acuña Jr to its group of investors and co-owners, through a long statement, announcing this new agreement with great excitement.
“It is a great honor to welcome Ronald to the Baseball United family. Ronald is not only a generational athlete and the sport’s greatest player, but he is also a cultural icon inspiring fans around the world. He truly believes that baseball can be global and plays with the kind of passion, charisma and style that can help millions of new fans fall in love with the game. Last year, as our team made history by bringing professional baseball to the Middle East for the first time, Ronald made his own history on the game’s biggest stage. Now we can make history together,” said Kash Shaikh, President, CEO and Co-Founder of Baseball United.

And he is the fifth Venezuelan to invest in Baseball United, joining Pablo Sandoval, Félix Hernández, Elvis Andrus and Robinson Chirinos.
“I am truly grateful to join the Baseball United family as an investor, co-owner and active ambassador to help grow the game we all love,” Acuña said.
Ronald Acuña Jr. will also play an ambassador role helping to promote the league, its teams and its players through his social media channels and at special events in the Middle East following the MLB season.
Notably, Baseball United’s inaugural Showcase event in Dubai was broadcast in 127 countries and reached 200 million homes.
